In Peter Lougheed Provincial park, Fortress Mountain was always in the backdrop as we passed when headed to Kananaskis for family camping trips growing up. I visited the area in my 20’s after it had closed as a ski resort and photographed the bold Alberta skies and massive mountains to document with a painting series someday - this is the start of that series.
