Fiery Lily

Part of my late night painting series, these home grown Day Lilies are staples in our yard and make every spring full of colour and beauty. There is something sensual in the tiny details that I really enjoyed painting. Colour palette dominated with reds, orange and yellows, I’m pleased with the contrasting unfocused background to accentuate the detail up front.
