Black Night Raven Bull Sky (Diptych)
Continuing the exploration of metamorphosis and change, the raven’s symbology in Native culture inspired this diptych. Looking within the foggy landscape composed within forest tree’s, the piece captures the depths of the mind and how dreams can manifest changes symbolized in the raven night shape shifting into the bull sky. Ink blots were also a jumping off point with the mirror image emulating the well-known Rorschach psychological test designed to reveal unconscious thoughts, motives and desires.
